Creative

Creative passion has always fueled my interests and career path. Initially I pursued a fine arts degree and dedicated several years creating and exhibiting my work. I then pursued a graphic design degree, to tap into the power of creativity to solve problems and communicate ideas. I also saw creative potential in the emerging internet, which led to a related Computer Science minor.

Curious

What excites me is learning and experiencing new things. I continually evolve as a designer because I apply this enthusiasm to my career. Taking courses, attending conferences, reading articles and books—these help me maintain a fresh perspective and gain knowledge to apply to my work.

Experienced

I have honed my design skills over the last two decades, but what sets me apart is that I approach projects by understanding the balance of user needs, business goals and technical considerations. This guides me to create meaningful designs through deliberate design choices.

Flexible

From collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on large iterative corporate projects, to getting scrappy on quick-turn requests—I’ve been around the block a few times. I understand how to approach projects based on goals, scope and team dynamics; defining processes and committing to delivering results on time.

Where am I now

I am currently a UX/UI Lead and Art Director at a global B2B marketing agency. As the UX/UI and accessibility SME, I help define and implement processes, drive creative vision, and ensure products meet the highest standards for usability. I share my knowledge by mentoring designers and sharing industry best practices and processes.
